We are:
A partnership of local Christians with a shared vision.
A network of local churches, promoting the gospel,
sharing good practice, facilitating training.
In close contact with other
regional Gospel Partnerships.
We believe that:
The heart of the gospel ministry is the proclamation
of Christ crucified.
The means of the gospel ministry is the prayerful
teaching of the Bible.
The focus of the gospel ministry is the local church.
The Peninsula Gospel Partnership (PGP) seeks to establish a network among Christians from different denominations in order to realise a vision of a Christ-centred, Bible-teaching, people-loving church available to every community in Cornwall and Devon. By establishing and working through such a network of local churches, PGP seeks to encourage them to share good practice and work together to provide motivation, support and resources for growth and effectiveness. Integral to this is the PGP Training Course.
Initiatives so far include or anticipate conferences for existing ministers and trainees to sharpen their biblical knowledge and preaching; church music workshop days for musicians and those who lead church meetings; conference days on current issues facing the church.
The Peninsula Gospel Partnership is in close contact with other Gospel Partnerships across the country, with the London based Cornhill Training Scheme. It is the conviction of PGP that as the Bible is taught in the power of the Holy Spirit, God’s voice is heard, people are brought to repentance and built up in the faith.
